🌄 Kalsubai (Marathi: कळसूबाई शिखर) is the highest peak in Maharashtra, with an elevation of 1,646 meters (5,400 ft) – often referred to as the “Everest of Maharashtra.”

📖 The name “Kalsubai” comes from a local legend. It is believed that three sisters once lived in the region: Kalsubai, Ratnabai, and Katrabai. The nearby peaks Ratangad and Katrabai are named after the other two sisters.
📖 “कळसुबाई” या नावामागे एक स्थानिक आख्यायिका आहे. असं मानलं जातं की इथे तीन बहिणी राहत होत्या – कळसुबाई, रत्नाबाई आणि कात्राबाई. जवळची शिखरे रत्नागड आणि कात्राबाई त्यांच्या नावाने ओळखली जातात.
